The Bolivar brand is named after Simon “El Libertador” Bolivar a 19th Century military and political leader who help several countries in Central and South America gain their independence from Spain. In fact, the Gran Republica’s blend includes premium tobaccos from Ecuador and Colombia, which are two of the countries Bolivar helped liberate.
